e-DOC

Document Management System

e-DOC is a flexible document management system that fits to any type of business.
e-DOC centralizes company documents associating them to the concept of "project" to organize and link the various elements together.
The concept of "project" is central to e-DOC, serving as the main organizational element to which documents, activities, users, and other relevant information are linked. This approach enables efficient document management and a complete and contextualized view of company information
Here's how e-DOC integrates its key functions:

  • Document Organization: Files are organized into folders associated with specific projects, making it easier to manage and access relevant documents.
  • Advanced Search: When searching for documents, users can filter by project, narrowing the results to only the files related to that specific project.
  • Version Control: The system tracks different versions of a document, allowing users to view the history of changes made over time.
  • Workflow and Automation: Document approval and review processes can be automated, improving operational efficiency.
  • Permission Management: Document access rights can be defined, ensuring that only authorized users can view or modify relevant files.
  • Audit Trail and Traceability: The system tracks changes and accesses to documents, ensuring regulatory compliance and accountability.
  • Customizable Dashboard: The dashboard can be customized to display summary data, providing a quick overview of progress and ongoing activities.
  • Related Entities: Each project is linked to other entities, such as properties (configurable attributes that characterize the project), milestones (objectives during the project lifecycle), and activities (hours worked by users involved in the project). In addition, companies and notes related to the project are linked.
  • Project Operations: Users can access the project, view its details, view a PDF summary, modify properties, view documents, activities, milestones, notes, companies involved, and the change log (audit trail).
  • Integration and Customization: e-DOC can be customized with specific properties for each project, adapting to the specific needs of the user.

e-DOC is developed on the same infrastructure as e-FORM. This implies a consistency in the basic architecture, design and interface to ensure a smooth user experience.

e-DOC is designed to be a flexible document management system with two main operational modes:

  • Standalone Web Application: e-DOC can operate as an independent web application, accessible via a browser, providing all the document management functionalities described. In this case the system allows to create as many project as requested, and assign documents to a specific project.
  • Embedded in e-FORM: e-DOC is developed on the same infrastructure as e-FORM, a validated system for managing clinical trials. This suggests that e-DOC can be integrated or embedded within e-FORM, leveraging its solid security base and existing functionalities. In this case all the documents are related to the current Clinical Trial project
In summary, e-DOC offers the versatility to operate both as a standalone application and as an integral part of a larger system like e-FORM.
